Molveno Lake in Italy
This beautiful mountain area is known as the “pale mountains”. Characteristics are the pointed rocks, steep walls and deep valleys. Due to its incredible beauty and the way it originated which date back millions of years, the area has been nominated as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
THE PEARL OF THE DOLOMITES
The village of Molveno is affectionately called the “Pearl of the Dolomites”. That is not without reason, of course. The small village, with about 1,200 inhabitants, has a beautiful location with fantastic views of Lake Molveno and the pointed mountains. The narrow alleys and steep streets characterize this typical Italian village, which is located at an altitude of 850 meters.
It’s about one hour drive to the northern part of the famous Lake Garda.
Activities in Molveno
In addition to the overwhelming beautiful nature, there are also more than enough cultural activities in the area. The provincial capital of Trento, with the 15th century cathedral, the Neptune fountain and the Palazzo Pretorio, is well worth a visit. You can also take a tour along the smaller villages and see the castle of Stenico. There are regular musical performances here in the summer.
Trips to Bolzano and Merano, two larger provincial towns, and Lake Garda can also be easily reached by car from Molveno.
LAKE MOLVENO IS A GREAT PLACE TO ENJOY NATURE, TRANQUILITY AND ACTIVITIES. ALSO IT IS A PERFECT BASIS TO EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL REGION.
